Many people took to social media to respond to White Claw’s newest product with 0% alcohol, pointing out that it was just “club soda.”

The new White Claw Non-Alcoholic Premium Seltzers come in four flavors – black cherry cranberry, mango passion fruit, peach, and lime – and contain 15 calories each and no alcohol, according to the company’s website.

“We’ve come full circle,” one person wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter,

sharing a photo of a stack of the new drinks in a grocery store.

“They have finally invented club soda,” one person jokingly wrote in a post.

Another person pointed out that this was just “sparkling/seltzer water”

Wouldn’t this just be sparkling/seltzer water ? 😭 https://t.co/fUhyt8g7YO

“Please do not pay $16.99 for a 12 pack of water,” another person wrote. “Just buy regular seltzer water for like $4.”

Other people responded to the post, praising the beverage company for having an option for non-alcohol drinkers.

“My hot take is that making sober versions of peoples favorite alcoholic drinks is a great thing for people recovering from addiction who want to still have their fave bev in hand but not drink alcohol,” one person said.

Another person pointed out that “not every product” was intended for each person.

“Some people are pressured to drink, but choose not to for various reasons and zero proof drinks can help mitigate addiction and other stigmas,” the person wrote.

Not to be this buzzkill but I beg people to think for one second that not every product is intended for them. Some people are pressured to drink, but choose not to for various reasons and zero proof drinks can help mitigate addiction and other stigmas https://t.co/stkkmkktXo

Aaron Sternlicht, the co-founder of Family Addiction Specialist, praised the company for its newest drinks, adding that it was a “positive” sign.

“Sobriety is becoming more celebrated, and these alternatives offer a social experience without the potential risks associated with alcohol,” Sternlicht told Fox Business. “Overall, the trend signifies a cultural shift towards mindful drinking and inclusivity in social settings.”
