Fox News reporter Peter Doocy posed the question why the White House staff treats President Joe Biden like a “baby.”

During a press conference on Tuesday, Doocy pointed out that at 80 years old, Biden is the oldest president. He particularly asked about a book, “The Last Politician” by Franklin Foer, which claims Biden allegedly said he felt as if he was treated like a “toddler.”

“President Biden is the oldest president in U.S. history. Why does White House staff treat him like a baby?” Doocy asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Jean-Pierre immediately dismissed Doocy’s question, saying, “Nobody treats the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief, like a baby.”

“So, there’s this book that says…” Doocy began before Jean-Pierre interrupted.

“That’s ridiculous, it’s a ridiculous claim,” Jean-Pierre said.

Doocy then cited a quote from Foer’s book which reads, “Rather than owning his failure, he fumed to his friends about how he was treated like a toddler. Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?”

The question from Doocy comes as multiple polls show a wide range of Americans feel Biden is too old to run for re-election.

A poll from the Wall Street Journal conducted between Aug. 24-30 showed that 73% of voters feel that Biden is too old. Similarly, a poll from AP-NORC on Aug. 28 showed that 77% of registered voters feel that age is a significant concern for Biden, compared to 22% of voters who feel that Trump’s age is concerning.
