Police Union Comments On City’s Order Following Incident

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - SEPTEMBER 13: Police pull over a driver for displaying a Mexican flag on his vehicle as he celebrates Mexican Independence Day in the Loop on September 13, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. Police were writing citations to drivers for displaying the flags and confiscating sticks pedestrians were using to display flags. The city and surrounding area has been holding several Independence Day celebration over the past week, while many others have been cancelled due to fears surrounding the Trump administration's Operation Midway Blitz, which is a surge in arrests of undocumented immigrants. Well, well, well. Chicago’s leadership is back in the headlines — and once again, it’s not for lowering crime or cleaning up the streets. This time, it’s about telling police officers not to help fellow law enforcement agents under siege. That’s right. According to multiple law enforcement sources and a damning Fox News report, Chicago cops were reportedly instructed to stand down — while ICE agents were boxed in by an angry mob after a violent incident on the city’s southwest side.

Let that sink in.

ICE agents — federal officers — get surrounded after an armed suspect is shot. They call for backup. What do they get? Silence. Because, apparently, someone higher up decided that politics matter more than blue lives.

🚨BREAKING: Radio transmissions CONFIRM Chicago Police were ordered NOT to respond to calls for help from ICE.@GovPritzker needs to be held accountable for deliberately endangering the lives of these Federal Agents.

And the response from the nation’s largest police union? One word: shocking. But let’s be honest — are we even shocked anymore?

The Fraternal Order of Police didn’t mince words. When a fellow officer is in trouble, you answer. Period. That’s Law Enforcement 101. But in the upside-down world of sanctuary cities, where “feelings” have replaced laws and ideological purity trumps basic duty, even that core principle is up for debate.

🚨 BREAKING — National Fraternal Order of Police condemns Chicago Police commanders for prohibiting rank-and-file officers from aiding ICE agents surrounded by protesters.

We’re not talking about paperwork squabbles or jurisdictional misunderstandings. This is about ICE agents being physically threatened by protesters, some of whom had just been involved in a ramming incident. And instead of backup, these federal agents got a policy memo.

You can thank the Illinois Trust Act for that. It practically kneecaps any local cooperation with immigration enforcement — because, God forbid, cities enforce federal law. In Chicago’s case, it seems that’s evolved into open hostility against their own law enforcement partners.

What’s the rule again? “We don’t help ICE because it’s political.” Got it.

But here’s where it gets even worse. According to sources familiar with the incident, a direct order went out from Chicago’s Chief of Patrol telling officers not to respond. That’s not hearsay — Fox News reportedly reviewed the dispatch message itself. Not help your brothers in blue? Stand down while federal agents are being threatened? That’s not just bad policy — it’s dangerous precedent.

Meanwhile, the official statement from the Chicago Police Department? A carefully worded PR smoothie: “We were there to maintain public safety… coordinate traffic… determine the appropriate course of action…” You know, the kind of bureaucratic filler that tries to sound like action without actually doing anything.

And the internal response? Let’s just say it’s not exactly full of warm fuzzies. Two ranking officers didn’t buy the department’s line for a second. One of them flat-out called it “COVER THEIR A– BULLS–T.” Another said the audio proves officers were told to leave the scene.

So what happens when cops aren’t allowed to back each other up? When fear of optics overrides basic safety? You get chaos. You get lawlessness. You get officers second-guessing whether they’ll be thrown under the bus next time they answer a call for help.

And make no mistake — this story isn’t just about ICE or Chicago or sanctuary policy. It’s about what happens when leadership bows to the woke altar and forgets that public safety isn’t political.

Because if we’ve reached the point where we let federal officers fend for themselves while being physically threatened on American soil, just to keep City Hall’s immigration narrative intact — then we’ve crossed a line.

Here’s another incident:

Chicago is spiraling out of control under Democrat leadership — law enforcement under siege as mobs hurl rocks and bottles at federal vehicles. Earlier today, ICE agents were attacked in what looks like a coordinated ambush.

The same…

And maybe… maybe it’s time we start asking: who’s really being protected here?

The Chicago Police Chief commanded his officers to “not respond” when ICE officers were ambushed and boxed-in by anti-ICE protesters.

Do you think the Chicago Police Chief should be charged?

Because it sure doesn’t look like it’s the people wearing the badge.

Or the law.

Or the country.
