President Donald Trump warned Wednesday that potential terrorist “sleeper cells” could already be inside the United States, suggesting many may have entered during former President Joe Biden’s border policies.
Speaking to reporters during a press gaggle, Trump said he has been briefed on various security threats, including intelligence about a possible drone-based attack targeting California. While officials are still investigating the report, Trump said authorities are monitoring potential threats closely.
“A lot of people came in through Biden with his stupid open border, but we know where most of them are: We’ve got our eye on all of them, I think,” Trump told reporters.
The president sharply criticized his predecessor while discussing the security risks.
“They came in through the open-border policies of Sleepy Joe Biden, one of the worst — the worst president in the history of our country — and we’ve got our eyes on all of them,” Trump said.
The comments come amid rising tensions with Iran and ongoing U.S. military operations in the region. Trump praised the current campaign against the Iranian regime, describing it as one of the most effective military efforts he has seen.
“But the war itself is being prosecuted at a level that nobody has seen before,” Trump said. “It’s pretty — it’s pretty amazing to watch.”
When asked about a recently reported law enforcement bulletin warning of a possible Iranian revenge plot involving a drone swarm launched from an offshore vessel near California, Trump confirmed the matter is under review.

The intelligence alert referenced a scenario where a boat operating offshore could deploy multiple drones toward a target along the California coastline. Officials say the threat information has been circulating since February but has received renewed attention as Iran has threatened retaliation against both Israel and the United States.
Trump maintained that the military campaign against Iran is being carried out with exceptional precision and effectiveness.
“The war itself is being prosecuted as well as anybody has ever seen, and this is other countries telling me too,” he said.
According to Trump, international leaders have privately expressed admiration for the U.S. response.
“Big countries, powerful countries, they said they’ve never seen anything like it,” Trump added. “And they also agree with what I’m doing. They say it’s an evil country, and it’s been for 47 years that way.”
The remarks come as the conflict with Iran continues to escalate, with recent reports indicating that U.S. forces destroyed multiple Iranian mine-laying boats in the Strait of Hormuz amid rising tensions over global oil shipping lanes.
