Hotan é uma importante cidade-oásis no sudoeste de Xinjiang, uma região autônoma no noroeste da China. A cidade propriamente dita de Hotan se separou do maior Condado de Hotan para se tornar uma área administrativa por direito próprio em agosto de 1984. É a sede da Prefeitura de Hotan.
