World Cup Star Vozinha Debuts for Colo-Colo

Cape Verdean goalkeeper Josimar Évora Dias, known as Vozinha, finally joined Colo-Colo in early August after a delayed arrival and made his competitive debut in Copa Chile with a 3-0 win over Unión Española. He faces ongoing, merit-based competition for the starting spot from 19-year-old Gabriel Maureira as coach Fernando Ortiz emphasizes that fame won’t guarantee selection, with Colo-Colo leading the league by 13 points.
