About Yangon

Yangon, também romanizado em inglês como Rangoon, é a capital da Região de Yangon e a maior cidade de Myanmar. Yangon foi a capital de Myanmar até 2005 e serviu como tal até 2006, quando o governo militar realocou as funções administrativas para a capital construída para esse propósito, Naypyidaw, no centro-norte de Myanmar. Com mais de cinco milhões de pessoas, Yangon é a cidade mais populosa de Myanmar e seu centro comercial mais importante.
