Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are now living in England.
The reason? President- elect Donald Trump won another four years in the White House.
According to a report on TheWrap, a person close to DeGeneres said the pair put their Montecito estate up for sale and will not return to the United States.
Times have been tough for the comedian recently as she reports being “kicked out of show business” when people reported her toxic behavior on the “Ellen” show in 2022.
DeGeneres is now living in the Cotswolds, a rural area in south-central England, the person said.
DeGeneres reportedly bought the Montecito property in 2019 and it has been the primary home she’s shared with de Rossi.
It is not known at this time what will happen to her other Southern California properties.
DeGeneres released “Four Your Approval” with Netflix. She explains how she was spending her time now the “Ellen” show ended.
“I decided to take up gardening,” DeGeneres said. “I got chickens. Let me see what else I can tell you about what’s been going on … Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business … Yeah, the ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline.”
“Had I ended my show by saying, ‘Go f–k yourselves,’ people would have been pleasantly surprised to find out I’m kind,” DeGeneres added.
Many have gone on X, formerly Twitter, to express their opinions on DeGeneres’ exodus.
