Singer Paul Stanley, who co-founded the rock group KISS in the 1970s, spoke out about parents allowing their children to surgically change their gender.
On April 30, Stanley, 71, shared his views about he’s seeing on Twitter.
“There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it,” he wrote.
Stanley added, “There ARE individuals who as adults may decide reassignment is their needed choice but turning this into a game or parents normalizing it as some sort of natural alternative or believing that because a little boy likes to play dress up in his sister’s clothes or a girl in her brother’s, we should lead them steps further down a path that’s far from the innocence of what they are doing.”

The rocker also shared that many children are clueless about “sexuality or sexual experiences” and are just “caught up in the ‘fun’ of using pronouns and saying what they identify as.”
“Some adults mistakenly confuse teaching acceptance with normalizing and encouraging a situation that has been a struggle for those truly affected and have turned it into a sad and dangerous fad,” he concluded.
Stanley’s post went viral on Twitter, gaining over 15 million views, and many users on Twitter agreed with his statement.
“Thank you for using your voice, platform, & notoriety to speak with common sense on a subject that will no doubt have dangerous consequences on our innocent and impressionable youth. This is a reasonable statement and before anyone attacks these words I hope they take a few minutes to use logic & common sense instead of emotions & feelings so that they hopefully understand why the pushback from the majority of humans is vast. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU,” one user wrote.
Another user wrote, “Nope. I’m gay and agree with Paul 100%. The infiltration of Gender Ideology and Queer Theory is damaging to children, ESPECIALLY those who will grow up to be gay/lesbian adults.”
Another user thanked Stanley for “speaking some common sense.”
“Our adult world is dominated by cowards who can’t say the most simple truths,” the user continued.
This came after Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee (R) signed a law that “prohibits a healthcare provider from performing on a minor or administering to a minor a medical procedure if the performance or administration of the procedure is for the purpose of enabling a minor to identify with, or live as, a purported identity inconsistent with the minor’s sex.”
The ban takes effect July 1, Fox News reports.
