Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is praising President Joe Biden’s administration as it nears its first 100 days.

Noting it is almost Biden’s 100 days in office and his as the new majority leader in the Senate, Schumer told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront,” “They said, ‘Schumer, you’re never going to get this done,” noting the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, Biden’s cabinet, and the American Rescue Plan.

“We got it done,” he added on Monday evening. “And now people are really happy with us. … People are getting injections in their arms. They’re getting money in their wallets. Small businesses and businesses are opening up again, and life is beginning to get back to normal.”

He predicted the next 100 days will be “very good” because “the demands of the American people are so, so important and we will get it done.”

Biden will mark his first 100 days in office on Friday.

Some of the key policy issues of Biden’s presidency so far include his coronavirus pandemic response, the economy, foreign policy, immigration, guns and policing, among others.

Biden will deliver an address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST. He will likely talk about the pandemic, as well as push his infrastructure proposal and police reform, among other topics.
