Donald Trump is threatening legal action after comedian Trevor Noah accused the president of visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, an allegation Trump flatly denies and calls an outright lie.
The clash erupted Monday night during the Grammy Awards, which Noah hosted for the sixth time. While congratulating Billie Eilish on her Song of the Year win for “Wildflower,” Noah pivoted into politics with a jab at Trump’s past interest in acquiring Greenland.
“That’s a Grammy that every artist wants — almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” Noah joked.
He then escalated the moment with a far more serious claim, adding, “Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
Noah offered no evidence to support the accusation.
On top of that Country singer Shaboozey said this…

The remark quickly drew a furious response from Trump, who took to his Truth Social platform to blast both the Grammys and Noah personally. Trump first dismissed the awards show as “the WORST and virtually unwatchable,” before turning his attention to the host.
“I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media,” Trump wrote.
He went on to brand Noah a “total loser” and demanded that the comedian “get his facts straight.”
The president then raised the stakes further, openly threatening legal action.
“I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C. … Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!” Trump added.
The dispute comes amid renewed attention on Epstein following the release of more than three million documents last Friday. The materials mention numerous high-profile figures, including Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and Britain’s Prince Andrew, in connection with Epstein and his associates, according to reports. However, inclusion in the documents does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.
Critically, no evidence has emerged suggesting Trump ever visited Epstein’s island or participated in Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. Trump has repeatedly denied any involvement, and even media outlets historically hostile to him have not accused him of traveling to the island.
The episode highlights the increasingly blurred line between political commentary and unverified accusation in pop culture settings, and it may soon test that boundary in court if Trump follows through on his legal threat.
