A small plane crashed in Boca Raton, Florida, onto the road on Friday morning leaving three people dead.
According to Fox News, the police and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the crash which was a Cessna 310 aircraft that went down near the airport at approximately 10.20 a.m. local time.
Flight data showed the plane has circled several times in the airspace above Boca Raton airport before crashing onto the N. Military Trail, causing at least one car to catch fire. Another driver was injured when he hit a tree due to the fire and debris
Michael LaSalle, assistant fire chief for Boca Fire Rescue, said the aircraft “had apparently some mechanical issues,” and added that one man had non-life-threatening injuries.
The FAA said the aircraft had left Boca Raton and was heading to Tallahassee International Airport, while Boca Raton police confirmed the crash but did not provide further details.
