There’s a couple things people can count on — death, taxes and don’t mess with Bruce Springsteen when in New Jersey.
That’s is what Donald Trump discovered when he touted his audience was bigger than a Bruce Springsteen concert, per the HuffPost.
Trump, who held a rally Saturday in Wildwood, New Jersey, also said Springsteen voted for Trump even though he has publicly supported President Joe Biden
He then said he was going to win New Jersey in the upcoming presidential election even though the state has voted Democrat since Clinton was in office.
However, a spokeswoman for Wildwood agreed with Trump’s assertion.
Lisa Fagan said the crowd was between 80,000 and 100,000 people.
A video of the rally told a different story. Although the space behind Trump was filled with supporters, the audience in front of the looked scant. The audience also dwindled more the longer he spoke, according to the outlet.
Springsteen fans, with receipt in hand, questioned the number at the Trump rally by sharing clips of Springsteen at MetLife Stadiumin New Jersey where there is a capacity of 82,500.
Others also questioned the reason Trump would criticize Springsteen in his home state.
