CBS is facing major backlash after Survivor fan favorite Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick posted a shocking late-night video that has viewers, cast, and crew reeling — and it all unraveled just as the network gears up to air the landmark 50th season of its long-running hit show.

Kendrick, 46, who is one of the show’s most recognizable returning contestants, went on an explosive and offensive Instagram rant Sunday night. The video, aimed directly at fellow Survivor alum Eliza Orlins, has triggered a wave of outrage and concern — not just among fans, but within CBS itself.

Kendrick’s words stunned many in the Survivor community.

She’s seen on camera lashing out:

“Don’t come at me with your political status when you’re f***ing Jewish,” she says.

“Your parents are 1% of the population of wealth.”

“Don’t you dare try to say I’m some right-wing bigot… F you, Eliza.”

And the rant didn’t stop there. Kendrick, visibly angry and appearing to have been drinking, continued to escalate her language — even threatening Orlins directly:

“If you think you’re gonna try to f***ing ruin me for one second, you’re sadly mistaken. Good luck, b***h.”

The timing of the outburst is particularly sensitive for CBS. Kendrick had just returned from filming Survivor 50 in Fiji — a season heavily promoted by the network as its biggest yet. She is expected to play a major role in the season, and the controversy could not have arrived at a worse moment.

Inside sources say CBS is now in damage control mode.

A member of the Survivor production team, speaking on the condition of anonymity, described the internal reaction:

“My heart sank and my blood ran cold. Stephenie is a huge part of Survivor, and she’s going to be a big character. But now we’re stuck. We’ve already filmed.”

Another added,

“Everyone’s texting each other. We saw the video. People are just saying, ‘We are so beyond f***ed.’”

The video surfaced just days after Orlins, a former contestant and New York public defender, released a dossier titled “The Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick Files: MAGA, Misinformation, And Deleted Receipts.” In it, Orlins criticizes Kendrick’s politics and online activity, including past conservative-leaning posts.

Orlins told the Daily Mail she wasn’t surprised by the video, saying:

“I didn’t know she was anti-Semitic — but again, given her history and the fantastic president she supports, it’s not surprising.”

Kendrick, married to former MLB pitcher Kyle Kendrick, has since responded. She admitted the video was recorded after she and her husband had been drinking wine and putting their children to bed. In a public apology, she claimed her comments were misworded:

“I misspoke in a way that was abrupt, poorly worded, and offensive.”

She went on to say:

“I want to be absolutely clear: I stand fully and unequivocally in support of the Jewish people. I condemn all forms of antisemitism… I deeply regret that it may have come across that way.”

Despite the apology, questions remain about whether CBS will address the situation before the season airs.

Kendrick’s legacy on Survivor is notable. Since debuting in 2005’s Survivor: Palau, she’s been one of the most popular contestants in franchise history — even inspiring Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins, according to fans. But she’s never won, despite three tries.

Orlins, meanwhile, has remained active in politics and criminal justice reform since her time on the show. She competed in Survivor: Vanuatu and Survivor: Micronesia, and even ran for Manhattan District Attorney before returning to her work as a public defender.

You can watch her post from Instagram here.

As of now, CBS has not released a public statement regarding Kendrick’s video. But with Survivor 50 already filmed, the network may have to make difficult choices — and fast — about what viewers will see when the season airs.
