The palace emphasized that the specific claims are for Andrew to answer, but stressed that cooperation would be forthcoming if authorities request it.

Authorities have not disclosed when the images were taken, and the context surrounding the encounter remains unclear. 

The calls for his cooperation come amid a broader effort by the royal family to distance itself from the fallout.

The adjustment aligns his name with the declaration made by the late queen on February 8, 1960, just days before Andrew’s birth.
