King Charles III and Queen Camilla are coming go the United States to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Buckingham Palace made the announcement, adding it the visit will be in April.
The trip will highlight historic and present-day ties between the two nations. The details of the itinerary to be announced later.
Buckingham Palace said the royal couple accepted an invitation from President Donald Trump.
The visit will be Charles’ first state visit to the U.S. as reigning monarch.
Queen Elizabeth II did four state visits to the country in 1957, 1976, 1991 and 2007, according to Buckingham Palace.
Charles, as Prince of Wales, has visited the United States 19 times, including a 2005 tour with Camilla.
Following the U.S. visit, the king will travel to Bermuda, marking his first visit to a British Overseas Territory as monarch.
It will mark the first visit by a reigning king to Bermuda. King Charles last visited in 1970. Queen Elizabeth II last traveled to the island in 2009.
Trump has made two state visits to the United Kingdom.
The first was in June 2019, when he was received by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. He traveled three again in September 2025 in an unprecedented second state visit.
He was hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle.
