“This was backstage of the “New Faces” show at the Country Radio Seminar……I fell for you in an instant!” he continued.
Then he added, “Today is our 27th wedding anniversary and I fall for you everyday, every time you walk into the room, every time I see you in our 3 beautiful daughter’s smiles. I just keep falling and always will. Happy anniversary my love!”
Hill also posted on their anniversary, sharing a photo of the two of them behind-the-scenes. She wrote, “27 years married to this man. My one and only. Happy Anniversary baby. I love you.”

In 2021, the couple’s youngest child moved out and they discussed being “empty nesters,” with People Magazine.
McGraw said, “You’re used to getting up in the morning, taking kids to school, going to softball practices and basketball practices and cheerleader practices and all of a sudden all that’s gone when your last one leaves.”
“There were times when we had 15 teenage girls in our house talking about boys and life and everything going on,” he added.
“We’re still a really close family; we talk all the time. But it’s difficult when your kids leave. All of a sudden they don’t need you as much anymore. And I think it’s probably more difficult for Mom,” he concluded.
Hill’s music career took a backseat to her parenting. She noted, “It’s the thing I’ve spent the better part of the last 10, 15 years doing,” via People Magazine
“I’m not going to lie — it’s very hard to let go. Our job is to give them roots and wings. Sometimes that’s an easier thing to say than others,” she went on.
McGraw and Hill began playing a couple in the show “1883” the prequel to “Yellowstone” but family has remained a constant focus.
Hill explained their connection to People Magazine, “The great thing is that they have still wanted to hang out with us and we’re grateful for that.”
