Was it Arnold Schwarzenegger who said “I’ll be back” or Tom Brady?

Brady, deemed by many as the GOAT quarterback in the NFL, recently said he would consider a return to play football, Sports Illustrated reported.

“I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” Brady said in a recent podcast interview with Vic Blends on “DeepCuts with VicBlends.”

“I don’t know if they’re going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don’t know. I’m always going to be in good shape. Always going to be able to throw the ball. So, for a little bit, like [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don’t know if they’d let me but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

Brady spent 20 seasons with the New England Patriots. He played his final three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won seven Super Bowls.

And, even at 46, many teams and fans are interested in his return to football.

According to Sports Illustrated, those teams include the San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots.

Another Sports Illustrated article suggested could head to the Pittsburgh Steelers if the current lineup of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields does not come through as expected.

“The Steelers have their expected starter in Wilson and a young backup in Fields,” the article said.”No one knows for certain if either will work out, but it wouldn’t change the team’s expectations. This year, they’re looking to make noise in the playoffs, and all of their moves – and interviews – have indicated that.

“With Mike Tomlin leading the way, the Steelers are always expected to be a team with playoff potential,” the article continued.” If they find themselves in the midst of a battle with a needed upgrade at quarterback, maybe they give 46-year-old Brady a call.”

But right now, Brady is not lacking in other opportunities.

These include a broadcasting deal with Fox that starts this year, a chance to become part owner of an NFL team plus endorsement deals, per NFL.com.

Many excited fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to celebrate the possibility of a Brady return:

He could start for 3/4 of the teams in the league……..and win.
