Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce spoke about his brother, Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, after competing against him during the 2023 Super Bowl game.

On Sunday, Travis Kelce got emotional as he spoke to reporters about his brother’s loss.

“There’s nothing you can really say to a loved one in a situation like that,” he said.

He added, “You joke around all the time and say that you want to beat your brother in the biggest stage ever, but it’s a weird feeling. It’s a weird feeling and that team had great leadership, great coaches. Obviously, it came down to the end and we got all the respect in the world for those Eagles, man, but there’s nothing I could really to say to him other than I love him and he played a hell of a year, a hell of a season.”

In a press conference after the game, Jason Kelce publicly congratulated his brother for his win.

“I’m just happy for him. Congratulations. It’s hard to get here. I hadn’t quite let the emotion get to me yet. I’m sure we’ll have a more emotional interaction. I’m still frustrated at that point, but really, really happy for Trav. Played his a– off,” he said.

He added he believes the Kansas City Chiefs earned the win.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce made history as the first brothers to play against one another in the Super Bowl, according to The New York Times.

Their mother, Donna Kelce, shared how she felt about her sons competing against one another in the big game.

“Somebody’s gonna go home a loser for sure, and one of ’em’s gonna be heartbroken because they didn’t beat their brother,” she said. “That’s what it’s gonna come down to. It’s gonna come down to bragging rights.”
