What do a country singer, English-born Broadway singer, action actor, rock band and disco singer have in common.
They are this year’s Kennedy Center honorees. President Donald Trump announced the honorees Wednesday, per Deadline.
The honorees are: George Strait, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, Kiss and Sylvester Stallone.
Trump also announced he will host the ceremony in December. No other president has hosted.
“I’ve been asked to host. I said, ‘I am the President of the United States, are you fools asking me to do that?'” he said, per USA Today.
He added that he was successful in past hosting duties, such as the finales of “The Apprentice.”

Trump joked as a portrait of Strait was unveiled when his name was announced. The presidentsaid he hoped the country crooner still looked that good.
Crawford originated the role of the phantom in Broadway’s “Phantom of the Opera.”
Trump said that he was present the night of Crawford made his Broadway debut in 1967.
“I think he’s one of the greatest talents I’ve ever actually seen,” Trump said.
Trump referred to Stallone, known for the “Rocky” movies and long-time Trump supporter, as a friend. He was not sure if Stallone would accept the honor.
“Some people don’t really want to be honored, they don’t care,” Trump said.
Gaylor is known for the disco hit “I Will Survive” and is the only female on the list.
“‘I Will Survive’ is an unbelievable song … it’s one of those few that get better every time you hear it,” Trump said.
KISS, the only multi-member honoree, became famous in the ‘70s with face paint and rock-inspired outfits.
Last year, honorees included filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, rock band members of the Grateful Dead, singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt and jazz artist Arturo Sandoval, per USA Today.
