President Donald Trump is vowing to take action to disperse protesters who have occupied a portion of Seattle, Washington if the local leaders failed to do so.
Trump has previously lashed out at Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) and Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D) over protesters — who have occupied a portion of the city and named it the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).
“You have a governor who doesn’t do a damn thing about it, and you have a mayor that doesn’t know she’s alive,” Trump said on Monday.
“Seattle’s a big city, and we have a governor who’s a stiff and we have a mayor who said, ‘Oh this is gonna be a love fest,'” he added.
Trump continued to reference a Fox News report about violence in that area of the city and said, “Now if they don’t do the job, I’ll do the job.”
When asked what actions Trump could take to break up the protesters, he said “about ten different things … any one of which will solve the problem quickly.”

Trump called on Inslee to use the National Guard to break up the protesters and predicted that similar demonstrations could take place in other cities if no action is taken.
“The problem with what happened in Seattle is it spreads. And all of a sudden they’ll say let’s do some other city,” Trump said.

Last Wednesday, Trump ripped into Inslee and Durkan on Twitter, “Radical Left Governor [Jay Inslee] and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before.
He added, “Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped [sic] IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!”
Durkan responded, “It is unconstitutional and illegal to send the military to Seattle.”
In a tweet, she said, “Make us all safe. Go back to your bunker.”

And Inslee said, “A man who is totally incapable of governing should stay out of Washington state’s business. ‘Stoop’ tweeting.”

And on Thursday, Trump vowed to “take back” Seattle if Inslee and Durkan did not break up the protesters.
