Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) believes former President Donald Trump cannot last four years in office because his brain in “deteriorating.”
Pelosi, a Democrat, made that announcement while on MSNBC on Sunday, Fox News reported.
Pelosi said those thinking of voting for Trump “have to know that he can’t last as president for four years with his brain deteriorating at the rate that it is … and they may be voting for President Vance, which would be a horrible thing for our country.”
Trump — who has had two apparent assassination attempts against him — said in Pennsylvania Sunday, “to get me somebody would have to shoot through the fake news, and I don’t mind that so much.”
Pelosi pointed to those comments as “further indication of his cognitive degeneration.”
Pelosi also spoke about Trump’s hypothetical scenario regarding his preference — electrocution on a sinking electric boat or being eaten by sharks.
“I’ll take electrocution every single time,” Trump said.
“Something’s very wrong there,” Pelosi said.
Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary, responded by slamming Pelosi.
“The only thing deteriorating is Nancy Pelosi who is a decrepit washed up corrupt politician who America can no longer stand,” Leavitt said in the statement to Fox. “She should go back to the City of San Francisco, which she has totally destroyed, and never return.”
