Former President Donald Trump is calling for one of his more outspoken critics to face prosecution.
In a post on Truth Social, and shared on X, Trump lashed out at former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), writing, “SHE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR WHAT SHE HAS DONE TO OUR COUNTRY! SHE ILLEGALLY DESTROYED THE EVIDENCE. UNREAL!!!”
The post centered on an article from The Federalist alleging Cheney “suppressed” evidence in the House’s probe of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Cheney fired back, “Lying in all caps doesn’t make it true, Donald.”
“You know you and your lawyers have long had the evidence,” she added.

The post centered on an article by former Trump administration official Kash Patel attacking the Jan. 6 probe.
“A key pillar of the left’s propaganda about insurrection is to distort the truth surrounding whether Trump authorized, prior to Jan. 6, the deployment of National Guard troops to keep order on that day. The main architect of this disinformation campaign is former Congresswoman Liz Cheney,” Patel claimed.
He went on to attack the former congresswoman as he stated she “consumed the information” about the Russia probe in “an apolitical fashion.” However, he insisted, “This ended when she must have decided that Trump threatened her dynastic political existence and endangered her father’s empire in the defense-industrial complex.”
Kash claimed Cheney “and her band of miscreants suppressed evidence that not only corroborates the truth about Trump’s authorization of National Guard troops but also completely exonerates Trump from their ginned-up charge of insurrection.”
