President Donald Trump sees only two boxes to check off to identify a person’s sex.
They are male and female, the president said in his inauguration speech Monday.
“From today forward, it will be the official policy of the United States to recognize only two genders: male and female,” Trump said, according to a post on X.
Trump plans to sign executive to that affect Monday afternoon, per NBC News.
This will end “radical and wasteful” diversity, equity and inclusion programs inside federal agencies, according to senior White House officials.
