Former President Donald Trump is vowing to bring an end to the Biden administration’s aggressive push transition to electric vehicles.

In a post on Truth Social Monday night, Trump wrote, “The Great State of Michigan will not have an auto industry anymore if Crooked Joe Biden’s crazed concept of ‘all Electric Cars’ goes into effect.”

“CHINA WILL TAKE IT ALL, 100%. United Auto Workers, VOTE FOR TRUMP. Get your leaders to ENDORSE ME, I WILL KEEP ALL OF THESE GREAT JOBS, AND BRING IN MANY MORE. CHOICE IN SCHOOLS, AND CHOICE IN CARS!!!” he added.

In a separate post, Trump wrote, “Shawn Fain, the respected President of the United Auto Workers, cannot even think about allowing ALL ELECTRIC CARS – THEY WILL ALL BE MADE IN CHINA, and the Auto Industry in America will cease to exist!”

“There is already a giant ‘E GLUT,’ they don’t go far or long, are very expensive, and the consumer must be given a CHOICE. Vote for TRUMP, and I will stop this Madness, IMMEDIATELY! Mexico [and] Canada LOVE Biden’s idiotic policy. SAVE MICHIGAN and the other Auto States. SAVE THE AMERICAN CONSUMER!!!” he insisted.

The posts come as President Joe Biden’s administration has been engaged in an aggressive to push to transition the nation to electric vehicles.

In April, the Environmental Protection Agency unveiled a proposed rule that would require two-thirds of new passenger cars and one-quarter of heavy truck sales in the U.S. to be electric vehicles by 2032.

Trump’s comments also come amid concerns about a potential major autoworker strike.

Axios reported on Tuesday that industry officials believe it is likely there will be an autoworker strike.

The prospect of a strike comes as the United Auto Workers union is pushing for a 46% raise, a 32-hour work week but with the pay of a 40-hour week, and the return of traditional pensions. Those demands are being targeted at General Motors, Stellantis, and Ford.

Meanwhile, the three automakers have rejected the demands of the union as they cite competition from Tesla and foreign automakers.
