President Donald Trump declared Tuesday was a “big day for World Peace” while hinting there is “big money” to be made around the Strait of Hormuz.
The president took to Truth Social early Wednesday morning hours after he said he was postponing his scheduled destruction of Iran for two weeks, Mediaite reported.
“A big day for World Peace! Iran wants it to happen, they’ve had enough! Likewise, so has everyone else!” Trump wrote.
“The United States of America will be helping with the traffic buildup in the Strait of Hormuz. There will be lots of positive action! Big money will be made. Iran can start the reconstruction process,” Trump continued.
“We’ll be loading up with supplies of all kinds, and just “hangin’ around” in order to make sure that everything goes well.
I feel confident that it will,” Trump wrote. “Just like we are experiencing in the U.S., this could be the Golden Age of the Middle East!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Trump previously threatened to annihilate Iran’s power plants and bridges if it did not “open the F*ckin’” Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday night.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” Trump posted Tuesday morning. “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”
Trump’s threat resulted in dozens of Democratic lawmakers insisting Trump be removed from office ASAP. Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene chimed in, calling for the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Trump announced at 6:32 p.m. ET Tuesday that a deal was reached with Iran with the help of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The deal news sent the price of oil down with Brent crude dropping 13% to $95 per barrel.
The price for a barrel was $67.02 on Feb. 27, the day before Operation Epic Fury was launched.
However, Iran fired missiles at Israel minutes after the agreement was announced Tuesday night.
