Ahead of his arraignment, former President Donald Trump is issuing a suggestion for what should happen to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Bragg of leaking information about his indictment.
“Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me. I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he,” the former president wrote.
He added, “This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED. Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF. He will go down in Judicial history, and his Trump Hating wife will be, I am sure, very proud of him!”

In a separate post, Trump wrote, “D.A. BRAGG JUST ILLEGALLY LEAKED THE 33 points of Indictment. There are no changes or surprises from those he leaked days ago directly out of the Grand Jury. No Crime by Trump. What a MESS. Bragg should resign, NOW!”
His posts came less than a day before of his scheduled arraignment in a courthouse in Manhattan.
NBC News notes, “The charges resulted from an investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg into hush money payments to two women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump. The former president has denied wrongdoing.”
The network added it is expected there are about 30 charges. However, the exact details of the indictment are not publicly known because it has been under seal.
Trump did not link to a story in his post. However, it was posted shortly after Yahoo News’ Michael Isikoff published an article stating the former president will be hit with 34 felony charges for falsification of business records.
Isikoff, citing a source “who has been briefed on the procedures for the arraignment,” reported none of the charges are misdemeanors.
“The source said, Trump will not be put in handcuffs, placed in a jail cell or subjected to a mug shot — typical procedures even for white-collar defendants until a judge has weighed in on pretrial conditions,” the article continued.
It added, “Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, which has been consulting with the Secret Service and New York City court officials, concluded there was no reason to subject the former president to handcuffs or a mug shot.”
News of Trump’s indictment broke last week, as IJR reported.
He responded in a lengthy statement calling it “Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history.”

“The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable – indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference,” he added.
