Former President Donald Trump is joking about the game of golf and the second apparent assassination attempt.
During his appearance on “Gutfeld” Wednesday, host Greg Gutfeld asked, “Mr. T, how’s your golf game?”
“Well, I haven’t been thinking about it too much lately,” Trump said, before joking, “I always said golf was a very dangerous game.”
Gutfeld responded, “It really is, especially if they’re playing with you.”
The Republican presidential nominee called the incident “pretty sad.” Gutfeld proceeded to ask, “If they had told you that the shooter was there, would you have tried to take him out with your 3 wood?”
“I think so. I think so, if I knew,” Trump responded, adding, “Actually, the Secret Service did a great job. They saw the barrel of a gun, big gun, and he came out through bushes, and how many people would see that? He really was very exceptional to have done it.”

Trump was deemed “safe and unharmed” after Secret Service fired a shot at a man who was pointing a high-powered rifle near where Trump was golfing at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach on Sunday.
The Secret Service spotted the rifle along the tree line, allegedly 300-500 yards from where Trump was, per CBS News. An agent fired at the suspect, resulting in the suspect fleeing. He was pulled over and detained about 50 miles north of the golf course.
The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, appeared in court on Monday and faces two charges, “possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. If convicted of both charges, he would face a maximum of 20 years in prison,” as CBS News reports. There could potentially be additional charges.
