A top Trump lawyer says that the president’s team hopes the Supreme Court will get involved in vote-counting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Harmeet Dhillon, who serves on the advisor board of “Lawyers for Trump,” the Trump campaign’s legal arm appeared on Fox Business and accused Philadelphia election officials of not allowing Republicans to watch the counting.

Dhillon also alleged, “In Philadelphia, you have election workers with Biden/Harris 2020 masks on. And they’re the ones who look at ballots and they see if a ballot is defective in some way. They may fill it in or fix it and there’s nobody on the Republican side to witness it.”

She continued, “We’re waiting for the United States Supreme Court, of which the president has nominated three Justices to step in and do something. And hopefully, Amy Coney Barrett will come through and pick it up.”

The Trump campaign has alleged that their poll watchers have not been allowed to watch the votes and they have sued to stop the counting of votes in Pennsylvania. However, the city’s Republican City Commissioner poured water on those allegations telling the local CBS station that observers from both parties are watching the counting.

In the September before the election, President Donald Trump said that he wanted nine Justices on the Supreme Court because he thought that election would end up before the nation’s highest bench.

Before the election, the Supreme Court refused to hear a case from Republicans in Pennsylvania over the ballots. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court previously ruled that absentee ballots in the states can be accepted up to three days after the election.

Since the election and while the votes have been counted, President Donald Trump called for the counting of votes to stop as his campaign filed a flurry of lawsuits. In Georgia, the campaign filed to stop the counting of votes.
