President Donald Trump told reporters on Sunday that he is willing to release the results of an MRI he had in October, saying there is nothing to hide and calling the scan “perfect.”

Speaking aboard Air Force One as he traveled back to Washington, D.C., following a Thanksgiving weekend at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, Trump said he has no issue with the scan being made public.

“If they want to release it, it’s OK with me to release it,” Trump said. “It’s perfect.”

When asked again by reporters, he repeated, “If you want to have it released, I’ll release it.”

A reporter followed up by asking which part of the body the MRI was focused on.

“I have no idea,” Trump responded. “What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it. I got a perfect mark.”

The way President Trump just unloads on the fake news is always hilarious.

Today he said he’d gladly release his MRI because it was perfect and then said to the faces of reporters that they wouldn’t be able to pass a cognitive test.

The MRI has sparked questions because it’s a more detailed medical procedure and is not often done as part of a routine checkup for a sitting president. Some reporters had previously asked the White House for more information.

On October 10, the White House released a memo from the president’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, who said the MRI was part of a scheduled follow-up evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The memo described the scan as a standard part of the president’s overall health maintenance plan and included laboratory testing and preventive screenings.

“Comprehensive laboratory studies performed in conjunction with the visit were exceptional, including stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters,” Dr. Barbabella wrote in the memo.

While the memo confirmed the imaging procedure took place, it did not give details on the reason for the scan or what part of the body was examined. That lack of detail has led some in the media to press for more information.

During a recent White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt just shocked the press by releasing President Trump’s MRI results.

🚨 BREAKING: Karoline Leavitt just STUNNED the Fake News by releasing President Trump’s MRI results on the SPOT…

…and he’s in AMAZING HEALTH.

Knew it.

Trump, now serving in his second term as president, has frequently addressed questions about his health by emphasizing his stamina and ability to handle the job’s demands. On Sunday, he also reminded reporters that he took a cognitive test and said he got a “perfect mark,” a reference to earlier comments he’s made over the years regarding his mental fitness.

“Release the MRI results!”

As of now, there is no indication from the White House about when or if the MRI report will be made public, but the president’s remarks suggest that he is not opposed to the idea.

Medical transparency has often been a topic of public interest when it comes to U.S. presidents. Health questions have drawn attention in the past under both Democratic and Republican administrations. Trump’s comments may help address some of the speculation, but it remains to be seen how much information will be released and when.
