President Donald Trump’s ongoing feud with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) continued as the commander-in-chief lashed out on Twitter, calling her a “weak and pathetic puppet.”
Trump bashed Pelosi in a Thursday morning tweet, apparently quoting Fox News’ Sean Hannity: “Nancy Pelosi, you are a weak person. You are a poor leader. You are the reason America hates career politicians, like yourself.”
After the Hannity quote, the president added, “She is totally incompetent [and] controlled by the Radical Left, a weak and pathetic puppet. Come back to Washington and do your job!”

Trump and Pelosi’s latest battle comes after Trump announced that the would suspend funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), as he has blamed them for acting inadequately to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Pelosi immediately critiqued Trump’s decision to pull WHO funding, saying in a series of tweets, “Now more than ever, we need the truth … the truth is because of an incompetent reaction to this health crisis, the strong economy handed to Donald Trump is now a disaster, causing the suffering of countless Americans and endangering lives.”
She continued, “The truth is a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others.”

Pelosi also slammed Trump during a remote appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” in which she appeared in her San Francisco kitchen and said, “I just do wonder how others can stand with [Trump] while he says the things he does in a way that they are accepting as truth.”
Trump has recently begun expressing annoyance that Congress is out of Washington, D.C. During a press conference on Thursday, he bemoaned the fact that the people that he has appointed could not be confirmed because of the coronavirus. He went on to threaten to formally adjourn Congress so that he could make recess appointments.
