Former President Donald Trump praised “Sound of Freedom” and those who made it at his screening on Wednesday night.

Held at his New Jersey golf course, he addressed lead actor Jim Caviezel stating, “Jim that was unbelievable.”
Trump also congratulated producer Eduardo Verastegui, saying, “You made this the hottest movie anywhere in the world.”
Then he specifically congratulated the man the story is based on -former CIA & DHS agent Tim Ballard. He walked over to Ballard and told him, “And Tim, what a job you did.”
“Somebody’s got to do it. And you did,” he added.
Trump said, “I now understand why it’s doing so well,” and called the film “an incredible inspiration.”
One of the attendees, Matthew Faraci, senior strategist for the new Spear Fun organization inspired by “The Sound of Freedom,”commented on his experiences for Washington Examiner.
He said, “President Trump was a gracious host. As we spoke to him, he listened very carefully about the issues surrounding child trafficking and asked numerous questions.”
“There was an incredible atmosphere of warmth in the place,” he added.
The movie has been criticized and written off as a conspiracy-laced film that appeals to Q-Anon supporters. But despite this, it is selling incredibly well, according to MediaITE.
Caviezel also appeared on Hannity’s Fox News show to discuss the film Tuesday. He stated, “I found this to be a powerful movie that everybody needs to see.”
He described that while making the film, “Traffickers, right in front of us, asked if we wanted ninas or ninos. Little boys or girls.”
“People think that’s not something that happens here in the United States. Well, absolutely it does,” he added.
The Washington Examiner reported “Sound of Freedom” reached $100 million at the box office after the screening.
