Those who attended President Donald Trump’s recent rally in Nevada broke out into a chant aimed at former President Barack Obama.
While holding a rally in Henderson, Nevada, on Sunday night, Trump accused Obama saying he “got caught spying on my campaign” in 2016.
“He got caught,” Trump continued. “We caught him cold…Now let’s see what happens.”
The crowd then burst out in chant, “Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!”

The chant is not new, however. “Lock her up” has been chanted frequently at Trump’s campaign rallies previously in regard to his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton.
Trump falsely accused Obama of committing treason in June of 2020.
Without evidence, the president told CBN News, “It’s treason. Look, when I came out a long time ago, I said they’ve been spying on my campaign.”
He continued at the time, “I said they’ve been taping, and that was in quotes, meaning a modern day version of taping, it’s all the same thing. But a modern day version. But they’ve been spying on my campaign.”
Prior to his remarks, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz told the Senate in December of 2019 that the department “didn’t see any evidence…in the FBI’s files or the department’s files” that Obama asked for an investigation into Trump.
