President Donald Trump said he will “probably not” seek another term as president.
The 79-year-old was asked his intention Tuesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” The Hill reported.
“No, probably not,” Trump said when asked.
“I’d like to run. I have the best poll numbers I’ve ever had,” Trump said.

The idea of a third term has been broached before even though the 22nd Amendment forbids someone from being elected to more than two terms as president.
“People are asking me to run. I don’t know, I never looked into it. And they do say there’s a way you can do it, but I don’t know about that,” Trump said this year.
One Republican lawmaker sought to change the U.S. Constitution to allow Trump to seek another term.
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) unveiled a Consitutional amendment that would allow Trump to seek reelection since his terms would not be consecutive,
“The proposal has essentially no chance of passing Congress,” per The Hill.
