President Donald Trump declared the U.S. will be pursuing its destiny by planting the American flag on Mars, much to the delight of Space X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
“Into new and beautiful horizons,” Trump said in his inauguration address. “And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars.”
Musk could be seen visibly fist pumping the air at the announcement.
“Ambition is the life blood of a great nation, and right now our nation is more ambitious than any other, there’s no nation like our nation,” Trump said.
