President Donald Trump is suggesting that he may be “looking for a new outlet” following a Fox News segment he seemingly disagreed with.
Trump took to Twitter on Monday evening with his reaction to Fox News host Neil Cavuto’s segment warning against the use of an unproven drug.
In response to the segment, Trump tweeted, “[Fox News] is no longer the same. We miss the great Roger Ailes. You have more anti-Trump people, by far, than ever before. Looking for a new outlet!”

Trump’s criticism of Fox News came just hours after his round-table discussion where he revealed he has been taking the anti-malarial drug, hydroxychloroquine.
When asked for more clarity, Trump confirmed that he had been taking the unproven drug for more than a week as a preventative measure for the coronavirus. He even went a step further claiming that frontline workers have also been taking the drug, as previously reported on IJR.
Reporters also asked if the president had any evidence to back his claims. According to Trump, his proof is based on calls and letters he received from those who had taken the drug for coronavirus and had positive results.

This is the same drug the president has been touting since March despite the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning against using the drug for COVID-19.
After playing the clip on Fox News, Cavuto criticized the president’s claims and his decision to use the unproven drug. The host also stressed the dangers of the drug being used by those who are considered part of a “risky population.”
“If you are in a risky population here, and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus, or in a worst-case scenario, you are dealing with the virus and you are in a vulnerable population, it will kill you, I cannot stress enough,” Cavuto stressed. “This will kill you.”

The Food and Drug Administration has warned against the use of hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus, saying the drug could cause an abnormal heart rhythm. There is no approved vaccine or treatment for the coronavirus as of yet.
