It wasn’t a good photo — not by a hair.
That’s according to President Donald Trump, who took to Truth Social early Tuesday to critique the cover photo of him on Time Magazine, saying it “may be the Worst of All Time.” He also said the story was “relatively good.”
“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time” Trump wrote. “They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.”
“Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?” the president continued.
The story centered on his administration’s work to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as well as the release of living hostages Monday.
“The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release,” Time Magazine wrote on X Monday afternoonon. The post included an image of the cover. “The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”

The “light from the sun makes the wisps of hair above his forehead appear transparent,” The Hill wrote.
The story chronicles how Trump, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and worked to bring the two sides together to talk peace in the region.
The article said the 20-point peace plan may “become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term” and “mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”
On Monday, Israel released over 1,900 Palestinian prisoners; Hamas released all 20 living hostages and four of the 28 bodies of deceased hostages.
