There is no debating it. Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday a third debate will not happen.
“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” was how the Republican nominee ended a post on Truth Social Thursday afternoon.
Trump also reiterated his claim he won the debate Tuesday against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since Harris broached having another debate, Trump said that signaled she lost Tuesday’s match-up.
“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH,’” Trump posted. “Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate.”
Trump went on to criticize Harris and President “Crooked Joe” Biden, saying they have “destroyed our country, with millions of criminals and mentally deranged people pouring into the USA, totally unchecked and unvetted, and with Inflation bankrupting our Middle Class.”
“Everyone knows this, and all of the other problems caused by Kamala and Joe — it was discussed in great detail during the First Debate with Joe, and the Second Debate with Comrade Harris,” Trump said.
Fox News hosted a town hall with Trump on Sept. 4. The outlet had invited both candidates to debate, per the media outlet.
“She was a no-show at the Fox Debate, and refused to do NBC & CBS,” Trump posted on his social media platform. “Kamala should focus on what she should have done during the last almost four year period.”
“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” he added.
Harris, on the other hand, said the voters deserve another debate.
“We owe it to the voters to have another debate,” she said at a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thursday, per Fox News.
Tuesday night’s faceoff had the two candidates discussing topics such as abortion, immigration, Israel, the economy and Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.
The debate also included fact-checking Trump, while Harris was not questioned as much, Fox News reported.
Trump said it was his “best debate ever, especially because it was three on one.”
Polls, such as a CNN flash poll, showed others did not agree with Trump, assessment as watchers called Harris the winner of the debate.
Fox News Media invited the candidates to another debate that would be moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
