Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) seemed to have some trouble explaining why she defended President Joe Biden’s mental acuity during the 2024 presidential campaign.
But that was just what the senator was asked to do on the latest episode of the podcast “Talk Easy.”
“Do you regret saying that President Biden had a mental acuity, he had a sharpness to him?” host Sam Fragoso asked, the Daily Wire reported. “You said that up until July of last year.”
“I said what I believed to be true,” Warren responded.
“You think he was as sharp as you?” Fragoso pressed.
“Um,” Warren said, adding, “I said I had not seen decline … And I hadn’t at that point.”
“You did not see any decline from 2024 Joe Biden to 2021 Joe Biden?” Fragoso continued.
“Not when I said that,” Warren said. “The thing is, he … Look, he was sharp. He was on his feet. I saw him. Live event, I had meetings with him a couple of times …”
“Senator, ‘on his feet’ is not praise. ‘He can speak in sentences’ is not praise,” Fragoso said.
“Fair enough, fair enough,” Warren said.

Recently, former NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd explained legacy media held back when covering Biden and his acuity issues to counteract any favoritism toward President Donald Trump.
Todd said on “Piers Morgan Uncensored“ that legacy media members erred when they didn’t report on Biden’s problems.
“I sit here, and I’ll defend a little bit of this in that I would argue the reason people were able to come to their own conclusion on Joe Biden is because of the media coverage,” Todd said. “Look, we were subtle. ‘He’s using the back staircase. He’s not using the front staircase.’ ‘Hey, he’s not doing any interviews.’ So there was this reluctance to draw the conclusion, to say, ‘Is he not doing this?’ And that I agree with. That was held back — held back a lot.”
