President Joe Biden’s brutal war of against the teleprompter and notes is continuing with latter dominating battles against him.
On Sunday, Biden once again showed off why so many Americans believe he is simply not fit for the job.
“Standing here in front of this portrait of the man behind me,” he began.
The “portrait of the man behind me” referred to President Abraham Lincoln.
“He, uh, he said…. And I want to make sure I get this quote exactly right,” Biden continued. He said, ‘We — the better angels.’ He said… ‘We must address — council, ah, address the better angels of our nature.”
Biden added, “And we do well to remember what else he said. He said, ‘We’re not enemies but we’re friends.’ It’s the middle… in the part of the Civil War.”

Biden was trying to recite a portion of Lincoln’s second inaugural address when he declared, “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies.”
Yikes. That was painful.
The attempt at the quote comes after Biden spoke about how bitter politics has become, which is ironic seeing as how he declared current Republicans in Congress worse than the “real racists” he served with in the Senate.
Yet, again, we see a video that only serves to raise concerns about the president’s mental state. Did he forget the name of the president he was quoting?
Why can he not even read something written out? He’s not quoting it from memory. He can’t even look at at a piece of paper and read it without butchering the quote?
It’s essentially the same question that was raised by the bizarre two minute video of Biden that featured roughly 30 cuts, raising questions about how often he butchered his script.
At this point, we’re getting videos like this almost every day. And surely, his staff must be wishing they could just lock him away in the basement so he doesn’t butcher famous lines or say something outrageous.
But if they tried that now, it would just raise questions about why he is hiding in the basement and not campaigning.
The best option for Biden and the country would be for him to step aside since he apparently can’t read, can’t speak, and can’t remember key events, even if that seems incredibly unlikely.
And to ensure the country has a competent leader, Republicans would do well to support a younger, vibrant candidate who is not facing dozens of criminal indictments or has been found liable for sexual abuse.
Those are all liabilities for the current Republican front runner that can and likely will be used to drum up fear and loathing around him and send Democrats and the blue haired liberal college students holding 12 hour hunger strikes for Gaza to the polls to vote for the man who apparently doesn’t have the cognitive ability to be prosecuted.
