Days after surprising fans with increasingly vocal political views, Nicki Minaj stunned another audience — this time at AmericaFest — by stepping onstage for an unscheduled appearance alongside Erika Kirk.

According to the New York Post, the superstar rapper joined the event Sunday, taking questions from Kirk and speaking to the packed audience about faith, politics, and her growing willingness to defy critics.

Minaj used the platform to praise President Donald Trump, calling him a source of energy and optimism for people who feel politically shut out.

“He has given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high,” she told Kirk.

The crowd roared as Kirk noted her late husband, Charlie Kirk, relished surprise appearances at Turning Point USA gatherings — a tradition she said Minaj honored by walking out without warning.

Minaj shifted quickly into a personal discussion about her religious convictions, saying she intends to continue speaking out on behalf of persecuted Christians around the globe.

“We won’t be silenced ever again; we will speak up for Christians wherever they are in this world,” she declared.

She urged the audience to defend their beliefs without apology, saying she is “not gonna back down anymore.”

When asked whether criticism from the entertainment world had affected her stance, Minaj didn’t hesitate.

“I didn’t notice,” she replied.

“We’re the cool kids,” she added. “The other people, they’re the others that are still just disgruntled. They are angry with themselves.”

Minaj has spoken more publicly in recent weeks about the killing and kidnapping of Christians in Nigeria — an issue she raised during a collaboration with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.

“Nigeria is a place I’ve always loved,” she said Sunday, noting her pastor is Nigerian and that many of her fans are as well.

“While they’re in church, people are being kidnapped, people are being killed, brutalized, all because of their religion — that should spark outrage.”

The rapper also revived her attacks on California Gov. Gavin Newsom, whose name she repeatedly twisted into “Newscum,” and read aloud some of her online posts criticizing him.

At one point, she offered blunt advice for young men watching the conversation unfold.

“Don’t be Newscum,” she said.

Minaj also slipped into a brief gaffe, referring to Vice President JD Vance as an “assassin” before correcting herself.

“You have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president,” she began, pausing and recoiling as the crowd reacted.

Kirk brushed off the moment, and Vance later appeared at the event with a lighthearted response.

“I’ve had this little nagging voice in the back of my head wondering whether she thinks I look like the JD Vance meme,” he joked.

“Nicki Minaj actually knows what I really look like, and that is the best tribute that I could possibly imagine.”

From politics to faith to unapologetic swagger, Minaj made clear she intends to keep talking — and that she expects the country to listen.
