White House press secretary Jen Psaki is weighing in on if President Joe Biden has spoken to former President Donald Trump.
During a press briefing on Friday, Psaki was questioned on if the two leaders have spoken, to which she said, “There are no calls to report on…and I don’t have any update on the letter.”
Speaking on the letter Trump left for Biden, Psaki said, “The president of course thought the letter was gracious and generous, but he plans to keep it private.”

Biden previously noted that his predecessor left him a “generous letter,” as IJR reported.
“The president wrote a very generous letter. Because it is private, I will not talk about it until I talk to him,” Biden told reporters on Jan. 20.
He added, “But, it was generous.”
In Trump’s final remarks as president on Jan. 20, he wished the Biden administration “great luck and great success.”
Trump did not attend Biden’s inauguration, but former Vice President Mike Pence did. Biden previously called it a “good thing” Trump was not going to attend his inauguration.
