“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg called out the audience after they booed former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway.
Conway appeared on the show Tuesday to discuss her new book Here’s the Deal.
Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “I want to talk about the ‘big lie,’ the stolen election…People around him lied to him and told him he won. Did you lie about him winning?”
“Never,” Conway responded.
Hostin went on, “Great. Can you agree that Trump lost both the popular vote and electoral college and that it was a free and fair election?”
“I think it’s pretty obvious that Joe Biden is the president. I can’t believe we’re still talking about this, respectfully,” Conway said.
However, Hostin noted that former President Donald Trump continues to talk about the 2020 election.
“I write extensively in this book, that I’m the closest person to Donald Trump to tell him, the earliest, that he came up short. It broke my heart. I wanted him to get re-elected,” Conway shared.
She continued, “I only wish that the people who were in charge of his 2020 campaign with the $1.4 billion that they wasted had won outright and overwhelmingly.”
“He should have won huge. He had all these accomplishments, he’s running against a guy stuck in the basement, and you’re in the middle of the pandemic,” she added.
As the former adviser spoke, some audience members started to boo her.

That’s when Goldberg stepped in as she said, “Let me do something before you say anything else.”
She turned to the audience and said, “Listen, this is ‘The View,’ and this is her view and she’s talking about how she feels and what she knows.”
“I think they’re booing Biden staying in the basement,” Conway joked.
Moments later, Conway said, “My heart is broken that Joe Biden is the president because look what’s happened, in less time than it takes to have a baby, they’ve screwed up the country.”
Goldberg burst out in laughter, then added, “Oh, excuse me.”
