“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg gave Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett an enthusiastic ovation on Thursday after she attacked President Donald Trump and his base.
Crockett, the far-left congresswoman known for her shouting and divisive rhetoric, attempted to explain away her colorful remarks about the Democrat donor class wanting “the safest white boy [they] can find” for 2028 and claimed that Trump is not keeping his promises. At the end of the segment, Goldberg could not seem to get enough of Crockett and repeatedly lauded how “great” she is.
“And this is why [Crockett] is so great!” Goldberg said, followed by an applause from the audience. “You know, this is why. This is why. So you know, let’s pay attention.”

Crockett has made several false, anti-Trump and race-based remarks that have raised eyebrows. If Democrats were to win back the House in 2026, she vowed during a June 2 interview that she is prepared to conduct an impeachment inquiry into Trump if she succeeds in becoming the chair of the House Oversight Committee.
While appearing on an episode of “Next Question with Katie Couric,” Crockett called Trump supporters mentally ill. Moments later, the congresswoman began calling for bipartisanship.
During an MSNBC interview in March, Crockett adamantly claimed that Trump is “an enemy to the United States” and is “aligning” himself with Russian President Vladimir Putin following his tense blowout with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office.
Without any evidence, Crockett further claimed during a three-minute rant on “Inside Texas Politics” that her opponents would “enslave” her and “throw [her] back in chains” if they had the opportunity.
The Texas congresswoman also told “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne tha God in February that she is “rooting” for Canada and Mexico over her own country due to their opposition to Trump’s tariffs. During a separate appearance on “The View” in February, Crockett baselessly said that Trump only had high approval ratings because the American people are not educated enough to know any better.
Crockett notably targeted Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s “beach blonde, bad build, butch body” during a heated spat in a May 2024 hearing.
