
Ramayana Part 1 Not Filmed; Global Two-Phase Release
Sony Pictures will handle international distribution for Ramayana outside India, with Dharma Productions releasing it domestically; the multi-language epic from Prime Focus Studios, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, and features Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman on the score with VFX by DNEG. The project packs a global rollout, including an IMAX-friendly presentation and a trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, as it aims for a worldwide release around Diwali and to extend the Ramayana story to diverse audiences.
