About Anthony Cope
Sir Anthony Cope of Hanwell, near Banbury, was an English knight, author, principal chamberlain to Queen Catherine Parr, and sheriff of Oxfordshire and Berkshire. According to genealogist Bernard Burke, Cope was one of the most learned men of his era.
