About Arthur Hobhouse
Sir Arthur Lawrence Hobhouse was an English Liberal politician who is best remembered as the architect of the system of national parks of England and Wales. He was a Member of Parliament for Wells from 1923 to 1924 and chairman of the Somerset County Council 1940 to 1947.
