Massachusetts anglers aboard the Castafari, captained by Damon Sacco, hauled in a 1,260-pound Atlantic blue marlin off Atlantis Canyon near Cape Cod, likely the heaviest ever caught on the U.S. East Coast and a potential Massachusetts state record. Expert estimates suggest the fish could be 25 to 30 years old and near the current world record, highlighting the rarity and conservation interest surrounding such mega-trophies.
