Jets Sign Levis, Release Zappe
Will Levis has signed with the New York Jets' practice squad, taking Bailey Zappe's spot as he attempts to revive a career derailed by injuries and a mid-Tennessee benching. The Jets' quarterback room includes Geno Smith and rookie Cade Klubnik, with Cam Ward having been drafted by Tennessee in 2025 to back up Levis.

About Bailey Zappe
Bailey Michael Zappe is an American professional football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played his first three seasons of college football for the Houston Baptist Huskies and used his last year of eligibility with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, setting the FBS season records for passing yards and passing touchdowns. Zappe was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft by the New England Patriots, where he spent his first two seasons alternating as a backup and starter. He spent his next two seasons as a backup with the Cleveland Browns.
