About International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties

The International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) is an annual Marxist-Leninist-led conference attended by communist and workers' parties from several countries worldwide. It originated in 1998 when the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) invited communist and workers' parties to participate in an annual conference where parties could gather to share their experiences and issue a joint declaration. The IMCWPs bear the same name as the International Meetings of Communist and Workers' Parties that were hosted by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) throughout the 20th century, for the first time in 1957.
